I’ve been writing software professionally for 26 years.

For the past year I’ve been deeply immersed in AI — and over the last six months it has genuinely changed how I work. I’m coding more than ever before, because now I keep going after hours too. That’s where I stay current, explore the latest tools, and just play.

A lot of good things have come out of that, and I want to share them here one by one. You’ll find them under “My Projects”.

At work, my engagement with AI is still somewhat limited. Sure, Cursor, Kiro and the like make my job easier and I’m significantly more productive — but during the day I’m stuck in the hamster wheel of maintaining ancient established projects that have paying customers. More customers keep getting funnelled into those same proven projects, so nothing truly new or timely ever gets built there.

This is my after-hours site.

First up: my Markdown editor, which you can use right here — mark.martuni.de . It’s the Markdown editor I always wanted. No registration required, because nothing needs to be stored in the cloud (that was always my complaint with stackedit.io). You can read and write directly to your local filesystem from the browser, no installation needed. For the technical details, see the GitHub repo .
